Tomonari Waku

Representative Director / First Class Architect

Tomonori Waku was born in 1979 in Hino City, Tokyo. A graduate of Tokyo Metropolitan University’s Graduate School of Engineering Department of Architecture, he founded Wakuworks in 2005. From 2017 to 2020 Waku was also a Managing Director of the Mori no Gakko Earth Regeneration Technology Research Institute (https://daichisaisei.net/).

Shun Sato
Shun Sato

Managing Director / Landscape Architect

Shun Sato was born in 1979 in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture. A graduate of Nihon University’s College of Bioresource Science, starting in 2004 he trained as a horticulturalist in Kamakura and Kyoto, and then founded and managed the gardening and landscaping company Ueshun. From 2017 to 2020, alongside Tomonori Waku, he was a Managing Director of the Mori no Gakko Earth Regeneration Technology Research Institute (https://daichisaisei.net/). In 2021 he joined Wakuworks as a Managing Director.

Shizuka Miyazaki

Managing Director / General Affairs

Miyazaki Shizuka was born in 1980 in Kokubunji City, Tokyo. A graduate of the Department of Education, Faculty of Human and Sociology, Japan Women's University, from 2002 to 2021 she worked at a Shogakukan Group company, followed by work in the USA, and later, in a nature and education business for children. From 2021 to 2023: she worked in the Earth Regeneration Kanto-Koshinetsu Secretariat, and she joined Wakuworks as Managing Director in 2023.
